EXPERIENCE
David has 34 years of property tax experience. He began his career with the Kerr Central Appraisal District as an agricultural appraiser. He was the chief appraiser for the Kerr Central Appraisal District from 1995-2000 and the chief appraiser for the Gillespie Central Appraisal District from 2000-2015. In addition, he oversaw the transition of tax collections from the Gillespie County Tax Assessor to the appraisal district. During this time, he served the tax collector. As a Licensed Tax Consultant, he has represented property owners across the state regarding valuation, equity, and exemption protests for residential, commercial, industrial, oil and gas and agricultural properties.
Appraisal Protests
David represents property owners in approximately 35 Texas counties. Appraisal protests are filed and resolved through negotiation in informal hearings or through formal hearings with the Appraisal Review Boards.
Arbitration and Litigation
If necessary, David is experienced in Binding Arbitration, Mediation and Litigation. His experience as a fee appraiser, tax appraiser and tax consultant is valuable in all aspects of appeal.
